Meet the Author

Kate Kauffman is a children's book author with a heart for storytelling, a love of laughter, and a passion for empowering kids through imagination.

As a mother of four, Kate knows a thing or two about bedtime stories (and the occasional monster under the bed). She blends warmth, humor, and bravery into every story she writes. Her debut picture book, Real Monsters, encourages children to trust their instincts, recognize true character, and know they can always reach out to a trusted adult.

Kate has found success in a variety of areas over her lifetime, from a Girl Scout Goal Award recipient to a college athlete, business professional, and entrepreneur. Her passion for people and culture has taken her around the globe as a world traveler. She is a strong believer that everyone possesses a unique set of skills and talents and that with dedication and belief in their own abilities, anyone can achieve their dreams.

When she's not writing, Kate can be found hiking or fishing with her boys or cheering them on at a basketball game or other sporting event.
